CTET Exam Pattern 2020

The CTET exam pattern 2020 consists of the description of two documents, for which candidates apply based on their eligibility. CBSE performs two jobs in two different sessions. For candidates, Document 1 is for candidates who want to become Class 1 to V teachers, while Document 2 is for candidates who want to teach Class VI to VIII. A candidate can also apply for both jobs.

The type of questions will be Objective Multiple choice. The question document will be a bilingual medium, that is, in both English and Hindi.

CTET Negative marking: There is no negative mark for the CTET exam. If a question is not addressed or flagged incorrectly, the overall ratings for that question will not be considered.

Minimum qualification marks

Candidates must obtain a minimum of 60% to qualify CTET Exam. An important thing to note is that the CTET score is valid for 7 years after CBSE has declared the result for it.

The CTET syllabus focuses primarily on the well-being of the students. The main areas are Child development and pedagogy and the concept of education in schools. Language is a section that a candidate must master to clear the CTET exam. CTET Exam Eligibility 2020

Eligibility criteria include the candidate’s qualification in terms of educational titles/achievements. The criteria for Class I to V is different from Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage). Applicants are asked to read about the eligibility criteria and then apply.

Eligibility criteria for classes I to V

  • Primary Stage Secondary Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name) OR
  • Upper secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% of grades and approved or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name), in accordance with the NCTE (Standards and recognition procedures) , Regulation, 2002 O
  • Upper secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and approved or appearing in the last year of the 4-year Primary Education Degree (B.EI.Ed). OR
  • Upper secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and passed or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • “Graduation with at least 50% of qualifications and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education of any institution recognized by NCTE will be considered to be appointed teacher in classes I to V provided the person designated as a teacher must compulsorily undergo a six-month bridge
  • Primary Education Course recognized by the NCTE, within two years of said designation as a primary teacher ”.

Eligibility criteria for classes VI to VIII (elementary stage)

  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the last year of the 2-year Diploma in Primary Education; OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% grade and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed); OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% grade and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed); OR
  • Upper secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and approved or appearing in the last year of the 4-year bachelor’s degree in primary education (B.El.Ed); OR
  • Upper secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of grades and approved or appearing in the last year of 4 years of B.A./B.Sc. Ed or B.A.-Ed / B.Sc.Ed; o Graduation with at least 50% grade and passing or appearing in 1 year of B.Ed (Special Education).
  • Candidates appearing in the last year of the Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Primary Education, etc., are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate will only be valid upon passing the aforementioned exams.
  • The candidate who does not have any of the above qualifications will not be eligible to appear on the Central Master Eligibility Test.
  • The candidate must satisfy their eligibility before submitting the application and will be personally responsible in case they are not eligible to submit the application according to the given eligibility criteria

CTET Exam Age Limit Criteria

There is no age restriction to request the CTET exam. The CTET age limit requires you to have the education qualification as B.El.Ed, B.Ed. (past or last year that appears). There is no age bar for the app.

How to prepare for CTET Exam Date 2020?

Now, for a teaching exam or a TET exam, a candidate must remember that there is no negative grade. Therefore, one must be careful and considerate of the scheme.
