OAVS Teacher Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for the written exam is as follows: –

Director position

• There will be multiple choice questions.
• The duration of this examination was 3 hours.
• The total number of questions for this exam will be 180.
• The maximum score for this exam will be 180.
• There will be 0.25 negative marking points for each incorrect answer.
• There will be a 60 point interview.

Trained Graduate Teacher (English / Hate / Math / Social Studies / Science)

• There will be multiple choice questions.
• The duration of this exam was 200 minutes.
• There will be 0.25 negative marking points for each incorrect answer.
• There will be a 40 point interview.

PGT (English / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Mathematics)

• There will be multiple choice questions.
• The duration of this exam was 200 minutes.
• There will be 0.25 negative marking points for each incorrect answer.
• There will be a 40 point interview.

Physical Education Teacher (PET)

• There will be multiple choice questions.
• The duration of this exam was 200 minutes.

• PART I: LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST: 40 points / questions
  • General English language proficiency test (20 points / questions)
  • Language proficiency test in Odia (20 points / questions)

• PART II: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND COMPUTER LITERACY): 40 points / questions

Trained Graduate Teacher (English / Hate / Math / Science / Social Studies

The online test will be part of Parts I, II and III. All questions will be multiple choice questions. The test will last 200 minutes. Each question will have 1 point. There will be a negative score of 0.25 points for each incorrect answer.

• Part I of the question document will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions in the subjects English (20) and Hate (20) with 1 point each.
• Part II of the test will consist of 30 Current Issues questions and 30 Reasoning questions.
• Part III of the test will consist of 100 questions about the content of the subject and the methodology.
• Part II and III of the candidate’s test will be assessed only if they qualify in Part I and score a minimum of 5 points in each of the English and Hate subjects and 13 points in total.
• There will be a 40 point interview.
• For the preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme will be a test at 70% (Parts II, III), and Interview at 30%.

PGT (English / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Mathematics)

• Part I of the question document will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions in the subjects English (20) and Hate (20) with 1 point each.
• Part II of the test will consist of 30 questions each on Topical Issues and Reasoning.
• Part III of the test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions related to the topic.
• Part II and Part III of the candidate’s test will be assessed only if they qualify in Part I and score a minimum of 5 points in each of the English and Hate subjects and 13 points in total.
• There will be a 40 point interview.
• For the preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme will be the test at 70% (Parts II and III) and the Interview at 30%.

Computer science teacher

The online test will comprise Parts I, II and III. All questions will be multiple choice questions. The test will last 200 minutes. Each question will have 1 point. There will be a negative score of 0.25 points for each incorrect answer.

• Part I of the question document will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions in the subjects English (20) and Hate (20) with 1 point each.
• Part II of the test will consist of 30 Current Issues questions and 30 Reasoning questions.
• Part III of the test will consist of 100 questions about the content of the subject and the methodology.
• Part II and III of the candidate’s test will be assessed only if they qualify in Part I and score a minimum of 5 points in each of the English and Hate subjects and 13 points in total.
• A separate 20-point performance test will be conducted.
• There will be a 20 point interview.
• For the preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme will be test 50% (Parts II and III), Performance test 20% and Interview 30%.

Interview :-

• Candidates for all given positions will be called to the Interview Stage if they qualify on the Computer Based Test (CBT).
• The grades obtained in the interview will be counted towards the final merit classification.
