About ASO Recruitment in Odisha High Court:

The Odisha High Court has started the online application process for 202 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) positions. About the Odisha High Court ASO Exam:

The Odisha High Court will conduct a preliminary written examination for these positions. The exam date will be announced later on the official website. More details about the exam are provided below.

Preliminary exam/test

Odisha High Court ASO Exam pattern:

The exam pattern is as follows: –

  • The examination will be objective.
  • The Preliminary Test will have 150 points according to the Undergraduate Course in the subjects of General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • The duration of the time will be 02 hours.
  • In said Preliminary Test there will be 150 numbers of Objective Type Questions with Multiple Choice Answers.
  • There will be a negative score of 0.5 (mean) mark for each incorrect answer.

Minimum qualification marks – The Court will summon candidates for the Written Exam, who have obtained no less than 33% of the marks in the case of Castes and Tribes included candidates and 40% of the marks in case of others in the preliminary examination.

Note: Provided that the Superior Court will decide the number of candidates to be summoned for the written examination based on the result of the candidates in the preliminary examination and the cut-off mark in the preliminary examination will be determined accordingly.

Exam pattern and syllabus:

The exam pattern and syllabus for the written exam are as follows: –

  • The exam will be objective (except English).
  • English Paper will be of qualifying nature, and if a candidate belonging to Caste General does not obtain at least 45% of the Complete Qualifications in the Paper and if a candidate belonging to the SC or ST category does not obtain at least 33% of the Las Grades on the article, other articles such as Mathematics and General Awareness and Reasoning Test will not be assessed and you will be deemed to have been disqualified.

Exam pattern and Odisha High Court ASO Syllabus 2021:

The exam pattern and curriculum is as follows: –

Computer basics, Windows (MS- Windows), MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Linux Fundamental and open office application, Use of Internet operation, Communication technology, Network concepts (LAN, Ethernet, Broadband, Wireless) and digital Signature

Note: The Court will summon candidates for the Computer Examination who have obtained no less than 45% of the total marks and a minimum of 33% of the marks in each work of the Written Exam. Said qualifications in the case of candidates from Scheduled Castes and Tribes will be 40% and 30% respectively. Provided that, in addition, the Computer Test will be of qualifying nature, and the qualifying grade will be 50% of the total grades in said work. Said grade obtained in the Computer Science Test will not be taken into account in the preparation of the final list of merits.

Test Viva-Voce

  • The Viva-Voce test will be 40 points.

The scores obtained by the candidate (s) in the Viva-Voce Test will be added to the scores obtained by him/her in the Written Exam to arrive at the total marks obtained by him/her and the names of the candidates. it will be arranged in order of merit based on that total score. As long as the names of the candidates are not included in the List of Merits unless said candidates obtain a minimum of 40% of the scores in the Viva-Voce Test.
