About Patna University: –
The University of Patna, Bihar’s first university, was established on October 1, 1917, during the British Raj and is the seventh oldest university in the Indian subcontinent. At that time, the university’s jurisdiction extended to Bihar, Odisha, and the Kingdom of Nepal. The university supervised examinations for educational institutions ranging from school final exams to graduate levels. This continued for almost four decades until the establishment of Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, and Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar.
