About RRB Group D Recruitment:

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has announced the hiring of 103769 posts of Level 01 Positions. Many interested candidates filled out their application form. About the RRB Group D exam:

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) will carry out a CBT exam for the recruitment of 01 level positions. The exam will be Tentative timetable From August 17, 2022 onwards. The exact date of the exam will be announced later on the official website. More details about the exam are provided below.

Selection process :

Railway Recruitment Cell Will Complete Group D Recruitment Based On Following Selection Process:-

  • Computer Based Testing (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Document verification
  • Medical exam

Computer Based Testing (CBT) :

RRB Group D exam pattern:

The RRB Group-D exam pattern is as follows:

  • The exam will be TCC Target Type.
  • The exam will be 100 questions.
  • The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PWD candidates accompanied by a scribe)
  • The quiz will be based on topics such as
    • General sciences: 25 points/questions
    • Mathematics: 25 points/questions
    • General intelligence and reasoning: 30 points/questions
    • General Awareness and Current Affairs: 20 points/questions
  • There will be a negative grade and 1/3 point will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Preselection of candidates for DV:

Based on the performance of the candidates in CBT subject to their qualification in PET, the number of candidates to be summoned for Document Verification (DV) will henceforth be equal to the number of vacancies notified (that is, in a ratio of 1 :1)

Minimum percentage points for eligibility in various categories:

  • UK – 40%,
  • SAT – 40%,
  • OBC (non-creamy layer) – 30%,
  • SC-30%,
  • ST-30%.

This percentage of qualifications for eligibility can be relaxed by 2% for PCc candidates in the event of a shortage of PCc candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

RRB Group D exam syllabus:

The RRB RRC Group D exam syllabus is as follows:

a. Math : Number System, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratios and Proportions, Percentages, Measurement, Time and Labor, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root , age calculations, calendar and clock, pipes and cisterns, etc.

b. General intelligence and reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Numerical Series, Encoding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumble, Venn Diagram, Interpretation and Sufficiency of Data, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement: Arguments and assumptions etc. .

C. General Science: The curriculum under this will cover 10th standard level Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (CBSE).

d. General awareness of current affairs. in Science and Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economy, Politics and any other topic of importance.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :

Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is compulsory and it will have an enabling character. The criteria for PET is as follows:

For men:

  • You must be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight over a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one go without letting go of the weight.
  • You must be able to run a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one sitting.

For woman:-

  • You must be able to lift and carry 20kg of weight over a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one go without letting go of the weight.
  • You must be able to run a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one sitting.

Document verification:

All Candidates who Pass the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be Summoned for Document Verification. The date and place of document verification will be provided to you on the official website before the DV.

Medical exam :

Candidates who are eligible after verification of documents and candidacies will be referred for a medical examination.
