Selection is done strictly on merit, based on the hiring stages mentioned above. The date, time, and place for all activities viz. CBTs, computer-based typing/aptitude test, document verification, medical examination, or any other additional activities, as applicable, will be set by the RRB and eligible candidates will be informed in due course. The request for postponement of any of the previous activities or for a change of place, date, and shift will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The examination pattern will be as follows:
