About GDS Recruitment:-

The respective appointing authorities invite applications, as shown in annex ‘I’ next to each position, from eligible candidates for selection and commitment to the 4,310 positions of Gramin Dak Sevaks. there are BRANCH MAIL (BPM), BRANCH MAIL ASSISTANT (ABPM) and Gramin Dak Sevak positions. The candidate who wants to apply online will need to register with the portal through https://indiapost.gov.in or https://appost.in/gdsonline from May 2, 2022 to June 5, 2022 .

About Tamil Nadu GDS Exam:-

Tamil Nadu post will not conduct any exam online or offline. Recruitment will be made on the basis of the list of merits. The selection will be made according to the list of merits generated automatically according to the rules based on the applications submitted online by the candidates.

India Post GDS Screening Process:-

Selection will be made on Certificate of Passing Standard 10th Secondary School Examination with passing grades in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any Government of India/Governments recognized School Board of Education State/Union Territories in India will be a compulsory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.

About Tamil Nadu GDS Merit List:-

• No weight will be given for the higher education qualification. Only the grades obtained in 10th standard of the approved Boards added to percentage with a precision of 4 decimal places will be the criteria to finalize the selection. The approval of all subjects according to the respective regulations approved by the board is mandatory subject to the conditions referred to in Clause B of the Notifications on Educational Qualifications Required to take into account the candidate for the calculation of merit.
• Candidates who have marks and qualifications on the qualifications list should apply with qualifications only. In the event that any candidate submits an application with qualifications, her application alone will be grounds for disqualification.
• For grade lists containing grades/points, grades will be calculated by taking the conversion of grades and points with the multiplication factor (9.5) against the maximum points or grade as 100.
