Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment And Promotion Board will soon conduct the Written Exam for the Posts of Sub-Inspector. Candidates who applied for this Exam are now waiting for the Exam Dates. so that they can prepare for their Exam accordingly. Uttar Pradesh Police is going to recruit Sub-Inspector SI of Police, Platoon Commander, Clerk. UP Police SI Selection Process :

1. Online Written Examination
2. Documentation & Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Online Written Examination

UP Police SI Exam Pattern:-

Online exam will be of 400 marks consisting of multiple choice questions.

► There will be an objective type online test.
► There will be total 160 questions of 2.5 marks each.
► The test will consist of a total of 400 marks.
► Time duration of test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► There is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
► The test will be available in both Hindi and English language except General Hindi part.

Note : लिखित परीक्षा के चार प्रश्नपत्रों में कुल 200 अंक न्यूनतम लाना होगा लेकिन किसी विषय में पास होने के लिए 35 अंक ज़रूरी होंगे। Candidates must have to obtain Overall 200 marks & 35% Marks in each subject to qualify in written test.

• 1-सामान्य हिन्दी
  • 1-हिन्दी और अन्य भारतीय भाषायें,
  • 2-हिन्दी व्याकरण का मौलिक ज्ञान- हिन्दी वर्णमाला, तद्भव-तत्सम, पर्यायवाची, विलोम, अनेकार्थक, वाक्यांशों के स्थान पर एक शब्द, समरूपी भिन्नार्थक शब्द, अशुद्ध वाक्यों को शुद्ध करना, लिंग, वचन, कारक, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया, काल, वाच्य, अव्यय, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय, सन्धि, समास, विरामचिन्ह, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियां, रस, छन्द, अलंकार आदि,
  • 3-अपठित बोध,
  • 4-प्रसिद्ध कवि, लेखक एवं उनकी प्रसिद्ध रचनायें,
  • 5-हिन्दी भाषा में पुरस्कार, 6-विविध ।

• 2. मूलविधि/संविधान/सामान्य ज्ञान
  • मूलविधि – भारतीय दण्ड विधान एवं दण्ड प्रक्रिया संहिता, महिलाओं, बच्चों, अनुसूचित जाति के सदस्यों आदि को संरक्षण देने सम्बन्धी विधिक प्राविधान, यातायात नियमों, पर्यावरण संरक्षण, वन्य जीव संरक्षण, मानवाधिकार संरक्षण, सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम, आयकर अधिनियम, भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम, राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा अधिनियम, आईटी अधिनियम, साइबर अपराध, जनहित याचिका, महत्वपूर्ण न्यायिक निर्णय, भूमि सुधार, भूमि अधिग्रहण, भू-राजस्व संबंधी कानूनों का सामान्य ज्ञान।
  • संविधान – संविधान का उद्देश्य, मौलिक अधिकार, नीति निदेशक तत्व एवं मूल कर्तव्य, संसदीय व्यवस्था, केन्द्रीय एवं प्रदेशीय सरकारों का गठन एवं उनके अधिकार, कानून बनाने का अधिकार, स्थानीय शासन, केन्द्र और राज्यों के बीच सम्बन्ध, निर्वाचन तथा अन्य महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी में संवैधानिक अनुसूचियां, अखिल भारतीय सेवायें एवं उनकी चयन पद्धति आदि के विषय में सामान्य जानकारी।

Law & Constitution:- General Knowledge about Indian Constitution, Aim of Constitution, Fundamental Rights, Directive principles, Rules & Regulations of constitutional Amendments, All India Service, Information about social Law related to women, children, Reservation of SC/ ST, Environment, Wild Life Conservation, Human Rights, Traffic Rules, National Security Issues, Principle of Crime Punishment, Right of Self Defence, General Knowledge about Law.

General Knowledge :- In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. Questions will also be  included towards a scientist sight and thinking which expected from an educated person. So, candidates should must focus on affairs about India and its adjacent countries too. Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge.

Numerical & Mental Ability Test:-

Numerical Aptitude:- Number System, Simplification, Decimal & Fraction, HCF LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Partnership, Time & Work, Distance, Use of Table & Graph, Mensuration & Miscellaneous.

Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Quotient Test/Test of Reasoning:-

Mental Aptitude Test:- Public Interest, Law & Order, Communal Harmony, Crime Control, Rule of Law, Ability of Adaptability, Professional Information (Basic level), Police System, Contemporary Police Issues & Law and order, Basic Law, Interest in Profession, Mental Toughness, Sensitivity towards minorities and underprivileged & Gender sensitivity.

Documentation & Physical Standard Test (PST)

► Minimum 40 KGs weight is prescribed for Female Candidates.
► Minimum 05 cms expansion of chest is necessary for Male Candidates.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

This test is only for qualified candidates in Documentation & PST. There will be a race in this test of qualifying nature.

Race –
Male – 4.8 KMs in 28 minutes.
Female – 2.4 KMs in 16 minutes.
